Yasmin Helal is a seasoned executive with over a decade of experience in strategic planning, operational management, and driving organizational growth. Currently serving as the Senior Business and Operations Strategist at NBA Egypt, Yasmin has been instrumental in cocreating the NBA’s footprint in Egypt and building the strategic and commercial partnerships that improve access to basketball across the country.
Yasmin is also the founder of Educate Me Foundation, an organization that has revolutionized education in Egypt, impacting over 100,000 students and 6,000 educators across 430 public schools. Her leadership led to the organization’s growth, accreditation and global recognition, and the establishment of key partnerships, including a significant collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Education.
Yasmin also served at an Advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Education. Her advocacy for community education was pivotal in impacting public spending and policy around access to quality education for low-income children.
In addition to her professional achievements, Yasmin has an impressive athletic career. As a professional basketball player and team captain for Gezira Club, she won over 40 medals and proudly represented Egypt on the national team for many years. This athletic background has further honed her leadership and teamwork skills.
Yasmin holds an MA in International Education Management and a BSc in Systems and Biomedical Engineering. Her contributions to education, business, and sports have earned her numerous accolades by World CSR Day, American Chamber of Commerce, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and features by sir Ken Robinson, Wharton, ESPNW and BBC.
