Viktória Vita Griessmüller is a visionary leader, award-winning innovator, and unstoppable force for change. A 40 Under 40 Business Elite Europe honoree and recipient of Rotary International’s highest distinction – the Service Above Self Award – she became the first person in Hungary to receive this global recognition for humanitarian impact.
As the founder and driving force behind the establishment of the Ukrainian Refugee School Project in Budapest, Hungary, Viktória transformed crisis into opportunity, creating the largest ongoing Rotary peace and conflict resolution initiative in education worldwide. Leaving behind a corporate executive career in one of the world’s leading multinational companies, she has since 2022 worked full-time – without salary – to establish a licensed Ukrainian Refugee School in Budapest. Through partnerships with three non-profit organizations and collaborators across five continents, Viktória has mobilized more than $500,000 in funding and in-kind support – $300,000 already delivered and $200,000 in progress – ensuring both educational continuity and community resilience for families affected by war. Over the past two years, the Ukrainian Refugee School in Budapest has provided Ukrainian-language education to more than 450 refugee children and employment for 43 displaced teachers and 2 psychologists.
With over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership and project management – including her tenure at Volkswagen Group – Viktória has led complex transformation and innovation programs across 20+ countries, delivering over $150 million in measurable value.
Fluent in five languages (English, German, Ukrainian, Russian, and Hungarian), she bridges cultures and sectors with rare ease, building trust among governmental institutions, corporations, and non-profits to design systems that create measurable, lasting change.
Her leadership is guided by one core belief: every challenge holds the seed of opportunity. Viktória Vita Griessmüller represents a new generation of global changemakers – leaders who combine strategic vision with human empathy to build a more equitable and resilient world. She is living proof that resilience, vision, and bold action can move mountains.
