Sayooran Nagulendra is an entrepreneur, technology leader, applied AI researcher, and community builder focused on turning emerging technologies into practical, real-world impact.
As Co-founder and CTO of RealtyAIQ, an AI Copilot for Real Estate, he leads the company’s technology vision and product development. His work applies AI to property evaluation, collaborative showing checklists, buyer insights, and the broader homeownership journey, helping people make important decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
Sayooran holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan. His Applied AI research on the Filter Bubble phenomenon, funded through a competitive NSERC scholarship, focused on analyzing and mitigating bias and information silos in recommendation systems. The work explored approaches to improve diversity, fairness, and transparency in personalized content delivery. The resulting publication has earned hundreds of citations, ranking within the top 10% globally for its cohort year and reaching the top 1% citation threshold based on aggregated all-years benchmarks.
He is also the founder of AI360Snap.com, a platform that makes AI knowledge more accessible to everyone by curating the latest developments, tools, insights, and learning resources for professionals, students, founders, and technology enthusiasts.
Beyond research and entrepreneurship, Sayooran is an accomplished community builder. As the Local Lead for NASA Space Apps Toronto, he has overseen one of Canada’s largest NASA Space Apps events. He led the end-to-end planning and delivery of this international hackathon, bringing together hundreds of participants, mentors, sponsors, academic institutions, and industry partners to foster collaboration, innovation, and real-world problem-solving.
His commitment to responsible innovation is also reflected in LiveLineups, a crowdsourced platform created during the COVID-19 pandemic. By helping people check store lineups before travelling, it reduced unnecessary trips, minimized crowding, encouraged safer shopping, and strengthened community resilience during a time of crisis. The platform’s impact was also recognized when it was featured on Moore in the Morning with John Moore, one of Toronto’s most-listened-to morning shows.
