Ryan Gauci is the General Manager at Hilton Prague, bringing over 23 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with 17 of those years dedicated to Hilton. Originally from Malta, Ryan has a rich background in managing and leading hotel operations across multiple countries.
In his first General Manager role, Ryan was trusted with the opening of Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa in Croatia, where he successfully launched and managed the resort from June 2021 to December 2023. During his tenure, he achieved remarkable milestones, including a 20% improvement in team member satisfaction, a 10% increase in guest satisfaction, over 35% revenue growth, and significant RevPar growth of over 30%.
Prior to this, he served as the Hotel Manager at Hilton Prague from 2018 to 2021, overseeing significant refurbishments and strategic realignment that enhanced the hotel’s market position and guest experience. Ryan also held the position of Director of Operations at Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention Centre, and Hilton Liverpool, where he drove operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Starting his career as an apprentice in the UK, he has since contributed to the success of 12 Hilton properties across 8 countries, including Malta, Poland, Italy, and France. His multilingual proficiency in Maltese, English, Italian, French, Spanish, and basic Czech has been instrumental in his international assignments.
Ryan graduated with distinction from the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta, where he was awarded Best Student in his course and recognized as the valedictorian – Best Student for his graduating year. This strong educational foundation has been pivotal in his successful career.
Known for his collaborative management style, Ryan excels in motivating and leading diverse teams. He is also actively involved in community engagement and charity work, continuing the tradition of supporting the Tereza Maxová Foundation through various initiatives at Hilton Prague.
In his leisure time, Ryan enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and cooking. He is particularly passionate about triathlon and swimming, often spending time in the pool to relax and clear his mind. Additionally, he has a keen interest in the culinary arts.
