Rafaela began practicing law in her home country of Brazil, where she earned her law degree from Estacio De Sa University in Rio de Janeiro. She holds a Master of Laws degree from Northeastern University School of Law and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree with a focus on nonprofit and public management.
Attorney Garreta is admitted to practice law both in Brazil and the United States of America. She is the founder of Garreta Law LLC, locations in the US and Brazil, and the founder of the Magazine, the only legal Magazine in the Portuguese language in Massachusetts, US.
Since becoming a lawyer, she has received recognition for her work as a lawyer and leader such as super lawyer rising star award by Thomson Reuters.
Attorney Garreta believes in supporting the community through voluntary and philanthropic work. Currently Attorney Garreta is the President of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Massachusetts, Vice Chair of the Brazilians Citizens Council in Boston, Member of the Council of Representatives of Brazilians Abroad to Legal and Consular issues, and appointed member of the advisory board of the Community Dispute Settlement Center, in Massachusetts.
