Paola Vitale is currently Chief Financial Officer of the Discovery & Medical division at Cytiva, part of Danaher Corporation. In this role, Paola is passionate about leading the financial strategy of a company that provides a wide range of tools, technologies, and expertise to support drug discovery, biological research, diagnostics, and the manufacturing of life-changing medicines.
With over 15 years of extensive experience in finance with major corporations, Paola is well known for being an inclusive, dynamic and results-driven finance leader.
Prior to Danaher, Paola worked at Baker Hughes, a leader energy technology company, where she spent 6 years in different financial leadership roles, involved extensively in business transformation and change management. Previously she worked at General Electric (GE) for 7 years where she joined the Corporate Audit Staff organization, a rigorous program focused on audits and advisory projects to develop high-potential leaders.
Paola has a Bachelor in Financial Markets and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Bocconi University (Italy). Throughout the University years Paola has also taken 6 months of MBA classes at University of Minnesota (USA).
In her free time, Paola is passionate about lobbying, and she is currently the President of the Young Delegation at Federmanager, the italian association of directors that aims to represent high-level managers, fostering their professional growth through training, networking, and special initiatives contributing to the overall development of the national economy.
Paola is also member of the Financial Committee at CEC European Managers, a European confederation that represents organizations across Europe, acting as a social partner in the European Social Dialogue.
