Martin Goertzen is the Founder and President of Softwash Butler, an Ottawa-based company recognized as one of Canada’s leading eco-friendly exterior cleaning providers. Known for its innovative and environmentally responsible approach to property care, Softwash Butler is now expanding through franchising across Canada. In addition to leading Softwash Butler, Martin serves as Regional Director for Ottawa at JDI Cleaning Services, a national commercial janitorial company with a growing presence across Canada and into the United States.
Martin began his career in the industry as a cleaner for a window cleaning company, steadily advancing to Operations Manager before acquiring the business. He later rebranded and transformed it into what is now Softwash Butler. With over 20 years of experience, Martin attributes his success to building strong teams of driven individuals who share a common belief: when the team succeeds, everyone succeeds.
Under his leadership, the company has earned recognition from Top Choice Awards and Canadian Choice Awards, while securing long-term contracts with municipal, provincial, and federal government agencies.
Beyond his professional work, Martin is actively involved in supporting non-profit initiatives that provide meals to individuals and families in need. He is a proud father of two young boys and enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, and their family.
