Maher serves as General Manager of Operations at Sobha Facades, a subsidiary of Sobha Group. He is widely recognized for his leadership in façade engineering, modular construction, and sustainable building innovation. With over 15 years of experience, Maher has shaped the skylines of Beirut, Amman, and Dubai. His portfolio includes iconic projects such as Al Abdali Gate, W Hotel & Residences, and SLS Dubai – recognized as the fastest-built skyscraper in Dubai by Gulf News in 2019 and the world’s tallest building to feature the Schüco Stick System façade. Among his standout achievements is the ceramic-clad Wasl Tower, one of the tallest of its kind globally.
In 2022, Maher joined the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he leads the Construction Working Group. He represents the voice of the private sector in collaboration with government bodies and industry leaders to improve construction contracts, project delivery, and policy reform.
Maher holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and a BSc in Physics. His credentials include certifications in Project Management, Operations Management, Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School, Climate Solutions from the University of Edinburgh, Façade Engineering from ASTI, and Total Quality Management from the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE).
