Joe Obeid is an award-winning Creative Director, Brand Consultant, and visual communication specialist with over 13 years of experience shaping brand identities across the Middle East and internationally. He is the Founder of the Middle East Design Award (MEDA), the region’s first platform dedicated to celebrating design excellence and empowering emerging creative talent.
Joe’s work blends strategic thinking, psychology-informed design, and contemporary aesthetics. His portfolio includes major governmental, cultural, and corporate collaborations with the Dubai Media Office, Netflix, the Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, World Government Summit, KFC, Mubadala, and the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center. His approach is known for clarity, cultural relevance, and the ability to translate complex ideas into impactful visual systems.
He has received multiple global recognitions, including awards from the World Brand Design Society, the Online Design Award, and the IDA Design Awards. In 2025, Joe was ranked among the Top 10 branding designers worldwide by the Creativepool Annual Competition, earning 2nd place, with his project later featured in Creativepool Magazine.
Joe was also invited to serve as a jury member for the Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) 2025, an international competition organized under the Ministry of Taiwan, highlighting his growing influence in global design education.
He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Visual Communication & Brand Psychology at Royale Business College (UK), focusing on how perception, emotion, and cultural identity shape brand behavior.
Born in Lebanon and based in the United Arab Emirates, Joe works within an international creative network, using culturally grounded design and research-driven insight to craft meaningful and future-oriented visual experiences.
