Joana Koleva is a visionary and changemaker. Since 2016 she has been actively supporting causes related to people with disabilities or as she calls them – people with abilities, because she truly believes in their potential and that they should be actively included in THE society.
From 2017 Joana Koleva is Director of Social Future Foundation and cofounder of the first project of the Foundation called Jamba – an online and offline platform which is specialized in support for inclusion in the labor market of people with disabilities.
Through Jamba platform, Joana, her cofounder and the rest of the team provide people with different abilities an equal chance to access tailored training, professional qualifications and a specially selected internship and career opportunities. Up to now Jamba has helped over 500 people with disabilities with finding job and many more to undertake tailored training to find their dream career.
Together with the whole team of the foundation, managed to unite over 2000 people every year to run for a cause of Run2Gether Bulgaria. Joana and her colleagues also created the Agent of Change platform, which aims to bring inspiring examples of positive change to the public’s attention.
Mrs. Koleva was one of the Bulgarian speakers at the Global Forum of Women Leaders 2018, which was part of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
She is a partner at Lemur Social Creative Studio, a social agency that organizes events. To carry out their activities, Lemur engages people with disabilities.
