Jeremy Mercer is the Senior Director of Engineering Operations for both Cubic Defense and Cubic Transportation Systems based out of San Diego, California. In his current role, Jeremy has been spearheading the data driven improvement of engineering teams and their critical integration into overall product lifecycle success through a highly matrixed operating system spanning across the US and the world.
Since 2009, he has been taking his passion of technical process mapping & optimization and turning it into a successful career across multiple industries including Aerospace and Defense R&D, Medical Wound Therapy R&D, and now with Defense Training & Secure Communications and Public Transportation. That passion resulted in his selection to Aviation Week’s 40 Under 40 in 2014. While process optimization and culture change is a difficult segment of the business world to operate in, Jeremy focuses on this area as a key to Organizational Excellence and helping teams meet and exceed their potential. As part of the Cubic Corporate team, he partners with Program Management, Quality, Integrated Supply Chain, and Business Development to study the holistic view of company wide processes and find efficient ways to improve overall product quality, customer satisfaction, and employee work life quality.
