Henry is passionate about his career as a mental health specialist. His work allows him to work with the most vulnerable population with limited access to health care, specifically psychological treatment. He has described that what makes a difference in his life is that he can have personal gratification when caring for his patients.
Henry has explained that he often sees patients at the most desperate and lowest point in their lives. There are feelings of shame, unworthiness, sadness, anger, and hopelessness. But, over time, they work together so the patient can RISE. Allowing the patient to pursue the better you, the stronger you, the resilient you. The most extraordinary moment in therapy is seeing the transformation of the patient who suffered evolve from a place of loneliness and despair to a place of newfound hope.
Henry Montero holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and certification in multiple behavior sciences. He is a speaker for two national TV stations Univision and Telemundo, United Nations, and globally on behavioral health subjects.
