Dieter Du Plessis grew up in the small town of Thabazimbi, South Africa, where his parents instilled in him a practical approach to problem-solving and a proactive mindset from an early age. Now based in Cape Town, Dieter is a professional quantity surveyor who started his own professionally registered firm, Rombi Quantity Surveyors, at the age of 27. Though still a young firm, Rombi QS has earned the trust of its clients through reliable service and attention to detail, steadily building a reputation for excellence, including appointments on multiple international projects.
In addition to Rombi QS, Dieter is the CEO and co-founder of Costblok, a patented software platform set to launch in early 2025. Costblok aims to revolutionize cost management for professionals in construction around the world by simplifying processes and addressing common challenges with an accessible and user-friendly platform. While the platform is still being finalized, Dieter and his team have already assisted property developers and quantity surveyors by providing tailored cost management solutions manually, laying the groundwork for Costblok’s impactful launch.
