Alyssa Hasham is a registered psychologist, doctoral candidate, and co-founder of The Psychology Group, a Calgary based mental health practice intentionally designed for long-term, sustainable growth. As a founder, Alyssa is recognized for building systems that prioritize clinical integrity, strong culture, and operational sustainability; laying the groundwork for future expansion without compromising patient or practitioner care.
Early in her career, Alyssa recognized that many mental health organizations were built for speed rather than longevity. In response, she co-founded The Psychology Group with a different aim: to create a scalable model, rooted in relational leadership, accessibility, and ethical business practices. Her approach emphasizes building infrastructure, mentorship, and team capacity first; ensuring that growth is something the organization can hold, not survive.
Alongside practice ownership, Alyssa maintains an active clinical role specializing in relational therapy, adult ADHD and neurodivergence, and perinatal mental health. This ongoing client work informs all of her leadership decisions, keeping expansion plans grounded in real-world clinical realities rather than abstract business metrics.
Alyssa’s leadership philosophy centres on sustainable expansion: developing systems, company culture, and people in tandem, so growth remains aligned with values. Through continued doctoral work, mentorship, and strategic planning, she is actively shaping a practice designed to expand thoughtfully over time while maintaining depth, accessibility, and clinician and client well-being.
Her work reflects a new generation of founders redefining success in healthcare: growth that is intentional, ethical, and built to last. Alyssa’s contribution to this field is creating a foundation for The Psychology Group’s expansion, that serves both community needs as well as the future of mental health care in Canada.
