DIOGO JESUS

CEO at Vale Ribas | Executive Director at OMM

Diogo Jesus is an entrepreneur from northern Portugal, leading two family businesses that bridge the long-term vision of winemaking and rural tourism with the operational rigour of construction.
Originally a registered operating room nurse, Diogo moved fluidly between scrub, circulating, recovery, and anaesthetic roles as the surgical schedule demanded — an adaptability that now defines his approach to business. He ultimately chose to dedicate himself fully to the family businesses he had grown up around, driven by purpose, legacy, and the opportunity to build something lasting.
As CEO of Vale Ribas, a family-owned vineyard and wine brand, Diogo is driving the company’s expansion into a premium enotourism destination. Under his leadership, Vale Ribas has grown steadily year on year, recently increasing wine storage capacity to 23,000 litres with a new, energy-efficient refrigeration line, modernising the vineyard fleet, and advancing a rural tourism project featuring a spa, heated indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, and four suites overlooking the estate.
As Executive Director of OMM (Oliveira Magalhães & Magalhães, Lda.), a reinforced concrete construction company founded in 2009 with around 70 employees, Diogo oversees fleet management, equipment procurement, IT, and cross-functional operations, serving as a hands-on problem-solver across the organisation. He is also the company’s certified Senior Occupational Safety Technician (Level VI), responsible for workplace safety across its construction sites.
Beyond his businesses, Diogo is deeply committed to his region, serving as principal sponsor of the local men’s football team through OMM and the women’s team through Vale Ribas — reinforcing the family’s long-standing connection to the community that shaped both companies.
