CRISTIAN DUCA

Senior Director, Partnerships & Programs at ESL FACEIT Group

Cristian Duca is a senior executive at ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), where he leads the Partnerships & Programs divisions and a team of more than 40 people focused on strengthening the connection between competitive gaming, its communities, and the wider esports ecosystem.
His journey with FACEIT began at just 20 years old, while completing his law studies in London. Joining as a Partnerships Associate and initially operating as a one-person function, Cristian was entrusted with building FACEIT’s third-party partnership ecosystem from the ground up. Over the following nine years, he progressed through the organization to senior leadership, helping transform partnerships into a strategic function connecting FACEIT with some of the most influential stakeholders in gaming and esports.
Today, his teams develop partnership frameworks and initiatives with content creators, professional players, athletes and artists, esports organizations, and tournament operators, turning these relationships into experiences that engage and grow gaming communities. Alongside partnerships, Cristian oversees programs focused on building sustainable competitive ecosystems, creating clear pathways from grassroots competition to professional play and supporting the discovery and development of the next generation of esports talent.
Alongside his professional career, Cristian pursued an academic background in law before completing a Master’s degree at King’s College London. His progression from an entry-level role to leading two major functions within one of the world’s largest esports and gaming organizations reflects a career built around entrepreneurship within organizations, long-term industry relationships, and the belief that strong ecosystems are created by aligning commercial objectives with genuine value for players and communities.
