Brooke Niemeyer is a communications professional with a lifelong passion for storytelling. This is what first led her to journalism at 13, when she began writing for the school paper, soon securing her own monthly column in a local newspaper.
Since then, she’s built a diverse media background spanning print, broadcast (both TV and radio), and digital platforms. Brooke was a reporter for NBC in New York City and her work has been featured on ABC News, CBS, USA Today, and more. She has also shared travel industry expertise in outlets including Forbes and HuffPost.
Brooke has reported across several beats, including local news, culture, sports, entertainment, and personal finance. She’s covered a range of stories, from deeply human experiences, like speaking with 9/11 survivors, to covering major events like the NBA Draft and profiling top draft picks, as well as interviewing notable figures including Lisa Kudrow, Roger Ebert, Luci Arnaz, and Jimmy Fallon. She approaches every story with curiosity and care, grounded in the belief that listening builds understanding and telling stories is both a responsibility and a privilege.
Brooke holds a master’s degree in journalism from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Westminster University in Utah. Today, she applies that foundation to communications and public relations, focusing on strategic messaging, media relations, and storytelling that resonates.
Brooke currently serves as Secretary of the Alumni Board of Directors at Westminster University and is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. She was part of a team recognized with a Ragan honorable mention for COVID-19 communication and was nominated for the Moxie Women in Tech Award. Brooke is also working on her first novel.
