Gaurav Kohli is a Managing Director at Ernst & Young (EY), based in their New York Office. As a management consultant, he works with banking and capital market institutions to strengthen their financial risk management practices which in turn promotes the stability of the financial system in United States.
Since joining EY in 2011, Gaurav has helped 20+ financial institutions including some of the largest, most interconnected banks in their risk transformation journey. He is a trusted advisor to the Treasury and Risk organizations for managing funding and liquidity risks across trading and banking businesses. In addition to banks based in the United States, Gaurav has also supported banks in Canada as well as those that are headquartered in Europe.
Gaurav leads a diverse team of highly talented and accomplished individuals at EY based in New York, Chicago, Charlotte, and other offices throughout the country. Over the course of his career, he has led several technical trainings (100+ attendees) and has been recognized for coaching and mentoring his teams. As a thought leader, he has developed several point-of-views on risk management and his views have been published in major media relevant to the field.
Outside of work, Gaurav has volunteered with Youth About Business: a not-for-profit corporation focused on fostering the development of business literacy and leadership skills for high school students from underserved and diverse backgrounds.
