Dr. Shanil Ebrahim is a passionate and inspiring leader in Canadian healthcare. As a Partner at Deloitte Canada, he leads the National Life Sciences and Healthcare Consulting Business, a purpose-driven endeavour committed to improving the health and lives of Canadians and Indigenous people, and strengthening the society and economy in Canada. As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders in government, public, and private sectors, Dr. Ebrahim leads complex business transformations and orchestrates large-scale, tech-enabled innovations.

Dr. Ebrahim has a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology, and served as a Researcher at Stanford University, and as a faculty member and Clinical Epidemiologist at McMaster University and the Canadian Hospital Sector. His work has extended internationally, encompassing collaborations in Canada, USA, Switzerland and the Netherlands, resulting in 80+ publications in high-impact scientific journals, several grants and awards for advancing disability research and preventative medicine, and media coverage from multiple national and international news outlets.

Dr. Ebrahim’s passion extends to the community. He served as the Chair of Wellesley Central Residences, offering supportive housing for low-income seniors and those living with HIV/AIDS, and as a Board Director at the Children’s Treatment Network, a lifeline for over 29,000 children and youth who require long-term support for a range of diagnoses, disabilities and developmental needs.
