Jared Neumann was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Jim Dent Group of Companies (DENT) in 2021, a mid-sized construction company based in British Columbia. Specializing in remote heavy civil projects, including dams, powerlines, roads, bridges, and large-scale clearing operations across hydroelectric, mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure sectors.
Jared built his early career in forestry and heavy civil construction. His experience began in the field where he quickly stood out as a leader and rose to General Manager for a forestry and civil construction company. In 2015, Jared joined DENT as a Project Manager, and later a Senior Project Manager.
Jared plays a key role in sustaining the growth of DENT’s core operations, delivering year over year strong results, while working alongside the executive team to pursue strategic acquisitions. A cornerstone of DENT’s success is its commitment to working respectfully with First Nations communities. Jared has been instrumental in strengthening these relationships, establishing long-term partnerships built on mutual learning, shared knowledge, and capacity-building. Through these efforts, DENT continues to advance meaningful reconciliation in action.
Jared’s unconventional path to executive leadership started with growing up in a forestry family, he began operating heavy equipment at a young age which propelled him into supervisory and management roles early in his career. He attributes his success to surrounding himself with hardworking, driven individuals who share the belief that when the team wins, everyone wins.
Beyond his professional career, Jared is actively involved with non-profits supporting cancer research and is committed to expanding his efforts in the years to come.
Jared lives in Kelowna, BC, with his wife Emma and their daughters, Charlie J and Ella.
