Gian Luca Comandini

Gian Luca Comandini (b. 1990) holds a classical high school diploma and a degree in economics. In 2013, he was among the first in Italy to invest in two emerging trends: blockchain and social media. Today, he is one of Italy’s leading technology communicators and has founded over 15 companies about innovation, emerging tech, communication, finance, and sport.

He is the publisher of Cointelegraph Italia and director of The Blockchain Management School, Italy’s first educational institution dedicated to blockchain. He was appointed by the Ministry of Economic Development to join the national task force on blockchain strategy.

He is the founder and CEO of You & Web, one of Italy’s top integrated communication firms, specializing in viral strategies for public figures, TV programs, and international brands. He teaches Blockchain at Guglielmo Marconi University, Blockchain and Cyber Security at the University of Macerata, and is a guest lecturer at LUISS University.

He has spoken at three TEDx events and is a frequent commentator on innovation at major conferences and TV shows. In 2019, Forbes listed him among the top “Under 30” future leaders. Millionaire named him among the 15 young Italians who will change the country, and Il Sole 24 Ore ranked him among the top 10 fintech opinion leaders.

A Mensa member since 2019, he invests in startups through Startcom and owns Inzuppo, a successful restaurant chain. In 2020, he became president of the innovative football club Vesta Calcio. His books “Da Zero alla Luna” (2020, Flaccovio) and “L’uomo più ricco del mondo” (2022, Rizzoli) were both category bestsellers. Since 2024, he hosts the economics podcast Out of the Box, produced by Chora.
