Catarina Nascimento Andrade is an entrepreneur from the Azores Islands, Portugal, and the founder and CEO of Sazorea, a sustainable skincare brand rooted in the unique botanical richness of her native archipelago.
She launched Sazorea in 2024 and is the driving force behind the brand’s innovation, responsible for leading Research & Development and all product formulations. With a deep passion for natural ingredients and sustainability, she ensures that every formula aligns with the brand’s commitment to quality, efficacy and environmental responsibility.
Today, the brand stands as a global ambassador for Azorean identity, biodiversity, and conscious consumerism.
Under her leadership, the brand has secured two rounds of funding from the Azorean government and, in under a year, the brand has earned several accolades, including Best Natural Skincare Brand 2025 at the Business Excellence Awards, two Beauty Shortlist Awards, an Excellence Award at the 2025 European Natural Beauty Awards, Cosmetics Brand of the Year from Innovation and Excellence Awards and Best Natural Skincare product from World Beauty Awards. Sazorea also granted a nomination from Máximma Magazine as “Best Portuguese Brand”.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Catarina is deeply committed to social and environmental causes. She partners with local and global NGOs to support biodiversity conservation and collaborates with an international organization to help provide school supplies for underserved children. She is also an international speaker empowering women entrepreneurs worldwide.
