Josh Durodola

VP & GM, International & Emerging Partnerships at DailyPay

Josh Durodola believes the measure of a life is the fingerprints it leaves on others. It’s a conviction forged early in Jos, Nigeria, where he grew up in a country he describes as rich in resources but poor in possibility – and where he came to see, long before he had the language for it, that the shortness of life is the very thing that gives it weight.

That conviction has been the through-line of an unlikely career. From a small university in northern Nigeria, Josh earned a full scholarship to Howard University, graduated top of his engineering class, and went on to Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, and an MBA at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Today he is Vice President of International Expansion and Emerging Partnerships & Strategy at DailyPay, the world’s largest on-demand pay provider, where he is helping shape the company’s next chapter – entering new markets, opening new frontiers, and stewarding the strategy that will define what the business becomes.

But ask Josh what he’s proudest of and he won’t talk about P&Ls or expansion plans. He’ll talk about the roommate he tutored through calculus who went on to pursue a Ph.D. The manager he quietly coached out of a coffee habit. The mentees and teammates he’s sat with for hours, helping them dig past the safe answer to find what they actually want from life. He sees the world the way one might see a body – every person a part, the whole only as strong as the care its parts show one another.

His ambition is large. His scoreboard is small, and human, and entirely his own.
