Heather Broughton is the President & CEO of MIRACORP, a premier provider of professional support services to the U.S. federal government. Since joining the company in 2014, she has driven MIRACORP’s growth strategy, leading business development, capture, and proposal operations that have secured millions of dollars in prime federal contracts. After more than a decade shaping the company’s expansion and competitive edge, she rose to her current role as President & CEO.
Heather now leads a nationwide team of more than 200 contractors supporting agencies such as the Department of Energy, the Department of War, and the General Services Administration. Her career includes close partnerships with Offices of Small Business Programs (OSBP), advocacy for small businesses across the federal sector, and consistently earning exceptional CPARS ratings—the federal government’s benchmark for contractor performance.
As the leader of a veteran-founded and wholly woman-owned firm, Heather actively supports small business advancement through organizations such as the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce (USWCC) and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP). Under her leadership, MIRACORP has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System, ISO 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance, strengthening the company’s reputation for operational excellence.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Heather was the first in her family to earn a college degree, completing her bachelor’s in business administration at Northern Arizona University. Inspired by her challenging upbringing, she remains committed to supporting youth in foster and group homes, as well as shelters serving veteran mothers and their children.
Under her guidance, MIRACORP has earned numerous federal and commercial honors, including recognition by INC Magazine as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies.
