CHRISTIAN MARTINEZ

Christian Martinez is a finance leader, AI for Finance professor, and published author focused on transforming how finance teams work through technology, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
Over more than a decade, Christian has built his career across multinational organizations in the Netherlands, Australia, and Mexico. His experience spans financial controlling, FP&A, analytics, and global finance transformation.
Earlier in his career, he led the financial controllership of a major manufacturing site in Australia, overseeing significant capital and operating budgets while partnering closely with operations to drive efficiency, strengthen financial performance, and deliver meaningful cost savings.
Today, Christian leads global Finance Analytics and Transformation initiatives, working across more than 20 markets and leading multidisciplinary teams of developers, data engineers, product owners, and finance professionals to build advanced analytics and AI solutions for finance.
Alongside his corporate career, Christian has become a leading educator in AI for Finance. He has trained more than 40,000 CFOs, finance leaders, and professionals through AI Finance Club, AI Finance Accelerator, LinkedIn Learning, YouTube, and corporate programmes. He is also the author of Smart Finance: Leveraging AI for Enhanced Financial Planning and Analysis and has spoken at events including the World Finance Forum, World Summit AI, Finance Digitalization Forum, and EMEA FP&A Summit.
His work has been recognized through awards including Finance Leader of the Year 2024, International Rising Star in Finance 2023, the EMEA Data Democratizer Award 2022, and Australia’s 30 Under 30 in Accounting & Finance 2021.
Beyond finance, Christian is a marathon finisher and avid traveller who has explored more than 70 countries.
